Taoyuan Yongta Fresh Pork

The pigs whose meats are sold at the vendor are from a single source, “Chung-Ming Huang’s Animal Farm.”
The Yongta Fresh Meat shop was founded by Mr. Shi-Feng Chen in 1985. During the earlier times when life was difficult in Taiwan, the founder became an apprentice of a meat vendor at the age of 15 upon recommendation by one of his father’s friends. After he finished his military service, as the economy of all sectors in Taiwan was booming, he began to run an independent vendor in the Shezi Market. A few years later, Mr. Du came to the Guangfu Market and saw the Taiwanese black pork by chance. He discovered that the quality and freshness of the meat are better than that of white pigs from overseas. Since then, he has started to promote and sell the Taiwanese black pork for over 30 years. Now run by the second-generation owner, the shop has kept its business philosophy: providing high-quality Taiwanese black pork which customers can buy and eat comfortably.
The animal farm owned by Mr. Chung-Ming Huang won, for two consecutive years, the first prize of the Shen-Nong Award for livestock farming from the Council of Agriculture in 2011 and 2012.
Mr. Chung-Ming Huang has put efforts in improving environmental protection and automation of the pig farm. 10 years ago, the farm was the first of its kind in Taiwan to use food waste heating equipment and set up conveying pipes for “one-key” feeding to reduce cross-infection of viruses between humans and pigs to raise healthier and more mature pigs.
